Westland Seeds strengthens breeding team

In recent years, we have successfully entered new markets with our existing commercial varieties. However, we continue to see significant growth potential in several of these markets. To seize these opportunities, expanding our breeding team became a necessity. Over the past year, we have therefore welcomed two experienced professionals to our team: Suzanne Hesemans and Bart Brugmans.

Suzanne Hesemans brings a wealth of experience in plant breeding. She completed her studies in Plant Breeding & Crop Protection at Wageningen University in 1998. Since then, she has worked as a plant breeder at various renowned breeding companies. With her extensive knowledge and expertise, Suzanne is a highly valuable addition to our team.

Bart Brugmans is a passionate researcher with broad expertise in molecular techniques and their application in breeding programs. His knowledge enables us to develop and refine innovative breeding strategies. Bart has also contributed to four patents, underscoring his deep understanding and forward-thinking approach in the field.

With the addition of Bart and Suzanne, we not only strengthen our team but also take an important step towards the future of innovative and high-quality varieties.
